Your First Visit

At your first appointment you will be asked to complete necessary paperwork. To save you time, we have made our forms available for you to download (see the “New Patient Forms” page).

At this first visit to our office, we want you to relax and feel at ease. After you are given a tour of the office, digital photos will be taken of the patient, and in some cases x-rays, to determine the best course of action. Not all patients are ready for treatment at their first visit. If this is the case, Dr. Gostovich will make a plan to follow the patient at regular intervals until it is time to start orthodontic care.

If treatment is indicated at the initial examination, additional information will be gathered (for example, measurements or models of the teeth) to help Dr. Gostovich develop a custom treatment plan for you or your child. Initial records are not only helpful in diagnosing the patient’s problems but are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care. After the doctor has evaluated your records, we will discuss your treatment with you in detail, including the cost for your particular case as well as financing options available.
